A Good Way to Live, A Good Way to Die
author's note:
“Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes”
-- David Bowie
A GOOD WAY TO LIVE, A GOOD WAY TO DIE
At the end
I think I’ll have courage enough
to give myself to death
instead of holding on too long.
I say so because
over the years I’ve fought against
my natural fear of change--
I’ve died many good deaths
in the struggle (still ongoing)
to birth the better human I truly am.
So at the end
I think I'll have the strength
to release my grip on this good life
and welcome the birth death brings.
